LIDL Ireland has slashed the price of a range of baby items, including one that will give you peace of mind.
As part of The Big Baby Event, the famous middle aisle will be stocked with a range of must-have items from September 12.
One piece in particular will give parents peace of mind and allow you to sleep soundly.
The Portable Bed Rail will allow parents to relax, knowing that their toddler will be safe in bed and won’t topple out onto the floor.
For just €19.99, it is foldable and suitable for use with most beds, including those with slatted bases.
Lidl is also selling a Home Safety Pack for €2.99, or shoppers can get two for €4.50.
Shoppers can choose from refrigerator lock, sliding cabinet lock, adjustable multi-purpose lock or corner cushions.
You can also pick up the Snack N’ Stow Highchair for €29.99, which is foldable with an adjustable and removable tray, footrest and harness.
It is recommended for babies over six months, with a maximum weight limit of 15kg.
Or, shoppers can buy another Highchair for €39.99, reduced from €79.99.
This one grows with your child from 6 months to 3 years old, and has a removable tray and a three-point safety harness.
You can also get the 2-in-1 Baby Bouncer for just €59.99, for children aged between 0 months and two years old.
It has two recline positions, and is a 2-in-1 bouncer and highchair.
Another peace of mind item being sold by Lidl Ireland is the Quick Close+ Pressure Fit Gate for just €22.99, suitable for passages between 73cm to 80cm.
You can also pick up the Ingenious Stroller for €99.99, down from €149.99.
The stroller has an adjustable handlebar, canopy and bootcover and a multi-position reclining seat.
Shoppers can also get the Infant Car Seat, reduced from €69.99 to just €59.99.
Suitable for babies above 0, it has a sun canopy and removable inlay with a headrest cushion.
THE HISTORY OF LIDL IN IRELAND
LIDL first opened in Germany in 1973.
Back then, it employed just three people, stocking 500 product lines.
The first Irish store, located just off Molesworth Street in Dublin, was opened in 1999.
This was Lidl’s first entry into the Irish grocery market.
Then, Lidl opened more stores in 2000, in Limerick, Letterkenny, Mullingar, Athlone, Cavan, Ballinasloe and Portlaoise.
Now, the retailer has over 180 stores and three distribution centres, employing over 6,000 people.
They work with a network of more than 260 Irish suppliers from the communities they operate in.
