A MOTORHOME owner is charging £500-a-month to rent out his seaside home on wheels – even though you have to sleep on a table, enjoy cold showers and empty the toilet yourself.

A little Fiat Ducato offers cramped accommodation for anyone looking to stay in picturesque Seaford, East Sussex.

Potential renters will find the little motorhome includes many strange features – including the nightly task of switching the dining table into their sleeping quarters, or choosing to pitch up on the tiny single bed above the driver’s seat.

There’s also no electricity, meaning tenants would be expected to use a power bank to charge their phones and laptops.

There’s also no hot water – meaning a soothing hot shower won’t be possible after a dip in the sea.

The kitchen area does include an oven and two gas hobs with gas canisters provided, but there is no fridge.

The home. listed on OpenRent, is equipped with a 20L camping toilet, but the expectation is that those staying will organise and pay for the pleasure of it being emptied every two weeks.

However, sheets, bedding, a pan and utensils, as well as toilet roll, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tea and coffee are all provided.

Described as being sat in an “lovely” location, the motorhome – which can be rented weekly or monthly – must remain parked throughout the tenant’s stay.

Meanwhile, a van-lifer revealed how he sold his home to move into a van full-time for a cheap alternative and to quit the rat race of busy urban life.

Elsewhere, Liam and his wife jump between campsites in their converted campervan, but quickly found the costly elements of choosing van life.
